i am going on a cruise on the Oasis of the Seas soon, and i was wondering about the teen program. im 14, so i will be placed with the "tween" group. i was wondering what i should wear to the first night’s activities, and if kids on cruises form like little couples, do i have a chance of meeting a cute boy?

On royal caribbean cruises do we have to sit with strangers for dinner?
On our one we sat with strangers for breakfast (but I understand that you can request to sit by yourself if you want) and sat by ourselves for dinner. But it was the same people every morning and it was actually kind of nice to meet new people.

does the price get cheaper when more people come
tickets are based on 2 per cabin. the first 2 people will pay full price regardless of age. persons 3 and 4 will pay less, but not always a lot less. even infants still must pay taxes and port fees.

Teen Club on Royal Caribbean Cruises?
I’m 13 and i’m going to be going on the Serenade of the Seas in a few days and this would be the first time i’m going to the teen club. On the first day we board the ship when (like what time) am I supposed to go to the club to meet new people? I don’t want to go there late when everybody there already met new people and are comfortable which would make me the odd one out. Also, can you give me some tips on meeting new people I’m a little nervous, are there any ice breaker type of things they have to meet new friends?
I’ve been on that cruise I had a great time. I think it doesn’t matter what time you go. People will want to meet and greet no matter who’s there early or late. Enter the club with a open mind and a wonderful smile. Relax and have fun
ncl epic versus royal caribbean cruises?
Hey,
So we have been on two Royal caribbean cruises, once on the voyager of the seas and once on the navigator of the seas. We loved both of these cruises and thought the were brilliant and had great food and shops on board.
This year we were thinking of trying NCL Epic to go to the western med. We were told they were great but we aren’t sure about food, shopping, entertainment etc.
I was just wondering if anybody has been on both and could tell us what the thought of the epic ??
It would be a great help.
thanks a million
S
I havent been on the Epic, but i haved cruised with NCL 3 times. I have also cruised with Princess once. NCL is freestyle cruising which means you can dine at what ever time you feel like. NCL has very good food, it is just like every other cruise, and amazing entertainment. I have heard the epic has a waterpark, ice bar, and many other cool features. The EPIC would be a very epic vacation. You can also see the deck plans and reviews at NCL.com and cruisecritic.com i hope you have a great cruising experience with whatever cruise you pick
What type of bloody mary mix is used on Royal Caribbean cruises?
My fiance and I were on Royal Caribbean last year and the bloody mary’s were awesome – asked what type of mix they used and the bartender showed us the bottle of premade mix, but can’t for the life of us remember and lost the paper where we wrote down the name! Help!
That’s a pretty specific question to ask! and unfortunately i don’t know either! you should ask this question to crew ship workers/ and past cruise ship workers. if not try emailing the cruise line they may reply if they have the time.
fingers crossed you find it!
Extra costs on a seven day cruise on a Royal Caribbean cruises?
We are going on a seven day cruise on Allure of the Seas in August of this year and Mariner of the Seas in February of next year. We need to know how much money we need to bring and what is included and what isn’t. Also I heard about a daily fee for something per person so I need to know what that is going to be.
Regardless of which cruise line and ship you select, the things that are included are pretty much the same. The price of your cruise includes your cabin, all meals (including breakfast, lunch dinner, snacks and free room service)(you do pay to eat in the specialty restaurants), all shows and entertainment, and free use of all facilities on ship. On the Allure they do have several "specialty" restaurants where there IS a fee to eat but they will give you a flier when you board that lists all of the free places and those that have a fee. The zip line, rock wall, ice skating, and all of the shows are free; but you do need to reserve them and you can do that online once you have made your reservation.
The things that you will have to pay for are:
GRATUITIES: They will amount to about $11.50 per person in your cabin per day; about $80 each person for a 7 day cruise. (Royal Caribeban just raised it’s gratuity fees) The gratuities cover your cabin steward, waiter, assistant waiter, and the head waiter. Those are the only people you’ll need to tip. When you check in at the pier they will set up an on-board charge account for you to cover any and everything you may buy on ship. They will issue you a "cruise card" which will also serve as your room key and pass to get on and off the ship. At the end of the cruise they will add the gratuity to your tab and you can pay with a credit card or cash, your choice. Everything on the ship is cashless, except the casino. You pay at the end of the cruise with your charge card, or you can arrange to pay cash. On a 7-day cruise I typically take about $300 cash, mainly for incidental souvenirs on shore and maybe a few dollars for the casino.
ALCOHOLIC DRINKS AND SOFT DRINKS: Coffee, tea, milk, juice, and lemonade and punch will be provided free but you must pay for drinks (alcoholic beverages) and they will add a 15% gratuity to each drink of soft drink order.
PHOTOGRAPHS: Cruise lines will take plenty of photographs of you all over the ship, in the dining room, and as you exit the ship in ports. These will cost a lot, like $15 to $20 for most.
TOURS/EXCURSIONS: You are not required to book any tours and can get off and on in the ports as much as you want. But the cruise line will offer a lot of tours and these are expensive. These are listed on your cruise line web site and you can reserve them well before the cruise and pay for them also. If you are going to the Caribbean, most places you can get a tour or taxi on the pier for a much lower price than on the ship.
SOUVENIRS: Anything you buy on ship from a gift shop or duty free shop goes on your on board account. Things that you buy on shore you pay cash or credit card for.
CASINO: If you plan to gamble on ship you will need cash for that.
OTHER: most cruise lines have what they call "specialty" restaurants where there is a gratuity/service charge. All other food on board is free and its not really necessary to budget for food; you cannot eat all of the FREE FOOD that will be available.
If you want/need to have your hair done, get a massage or wrap, or any services from the spa, you will have to pay for them. You can use the gym free but the spa stuff cost big bucks.
Ships now have internet cafe and some have WiFi but the there is a fee for internet access and it is very expensive (like about $50 an hour).
You cabin will likely have a minibar with soft drinks and munchies; you have to pay for them (but there is free room service 24/7).
do royal caribbean do worldwide cruises?
They have a worldwise cruise brochure yet after looking through it, it doesn’t have a section on world cruises. Also, if anyone could send me a link to prove royal caribbean do do world cruises I would be so grateful. (Its to help me with an assignment I am doing), i have looked everywhere on the net but cannot find nothing.
Try my source.
First, all purchases on the ship are charged to your account (this can include tips), so you don’t need cash on board. So as far as cash goes, you only need it for what you would buy while in port.
All food in the buffet and main dining room are free. If you want to eat in the specialty restaurants you can, but you have to pay a cover charge (how much depends on the restaurant). Most (if not all) entertainment on board is free. All drinks in the buffet are free. Soda and alcoholic beverages are NOT free (but will be charged to your account). Photos, and the spa are not free.
How much you spend every day really depends on what you want to do. I usually figure on about $75. a day (per person) to cover excursions, drinks, souvenirs, and other miscellaneous things. Most of which is charged to my on board account (which ends up on my credit card). We don’t on average go over that amount every day, but its just what I plan on.
What you need every day really depends on what you want to do on your cruise. You could spend nothing extra (except tips about $10. a day per person, which IS optional), or you could go hog wild.
