River Rose Tours & Cruises – Newburgh, NY

Posted by admin on January 25th, 2012 and filed under river crruises | 2 Comments »

We would like to take this opportunity to give you a unique journey straight into the history of the Hudson Valley.

As your journey begins on the authentic New Orleans Paddle Wheeler, The River Rose, cruise into the history of Bannermans Island. Relive the Newburgh-Beacon Ferry Service then, and the Newburgh-Beacon Bridge now; which are the sole means of public transport between Newburgh and Beacon in their times. Reminisce about the Mount Beacon historical trolley service and entertainment center that once played host to their eras most famous entertainers.

You will never see the splendor and spectrum of color until you see the Breakneck and Storm King Mountains during one of our Fall Foliage Cruises. Enjoy the magnificent American Castles up and down the mighty Hudson River that were built over the past centuries.

The River Rose is rated by the US Coat Guard to accommodate up to 150 passengers plus crew. We have an upper and lower deck for your viewing pleasure. The upper deck, bar, dancing floor, and observation area are open air. During inclement or cool weather, the observation deck can be enclosed and heated. The lower deck offers the Captains Bar, a nice size dance floor, heating and air conditioning, lavatories, and the intimacy of a sit down dinner, picnic or buffet. The space is excellent for business meetings, awards ceremonies, or any other special occasion.

The River Rose would like to give your company a unique opportunity to treat your employees to a moral booster. Instead of an employee picnic, why not have your staff and management events onboard The River Rose? We do Clam Bakes, Barbeques, Sit Down Dinners, Weddings, Commitment Ceremonies, Anniversaries, Engagement Parties, Bar Mitzvahs, Holy Communions, Christenings, Reunions, Retirements, Graduations, and any special occasion you can think of.

Give your people a different experience, a trip down the Hudson filled with memories and fun for all. The calendar is filling fast; contact us to inquire about your special date and time!

London Architecture seen from a River Thames Cruise (HD)

Posted by admin on November 21st, 2011 and filed under river crruises | 5 Comments »

here is no better way to see many of the landmarks of London than from the River Thames. And there’s no better time to do this than in the evening as twilight descends over the city, and it lights into life.

In this episode, travel with us on a river cruise and watch the night descend over some fascinating architecture from the Houses of Parliament and Millennium Wheel to Battersea Power Station and the MI5 Intelligence HQ building.

Technical note: In order to maximize your viewing enjoyment (and to prevent ‘motion-sickness’) a great deal of image stabilization has been applied, both during recording and in post-production. The result is an amazingly smooth watching experience but you may find that the high definition pictures may a little ’soft’ on detail in places.
