River cruise to Silver Springs Florida from MFL was a journey of about 6 hours, with 12 boats taking part, cruising up the Ocklawaha River and stopping off at Nelsons Fish Camp and Moss Bluff Lock along the way.
This is the true Florida, and this particular journey started just 40 miles north-west of Orlando and about 50 miles north of Disney World.
This is on the Harris Chain of lakes, which includes Lake Dora in Mount Dora, the Dora Canal in Tavares which is the geographical center of Florida, Lake Eustis in the Golden Triangle, Dead River, Lake Harris and Little Lake Harris, Haines Creek, Lake Griffin near Leesburg and north up the Ocklawaha river to Silver Springs and through the Ocala National Forest to Jacksonville.
The journey in this video is about 50 miles, starting in MFL (Mid-Florida-Lakes), a gated community near Leesburg on highway 44, and very close to the Burrell Lock on Haines Creek, and ending at Silver Springs near to Ocala.
I hope this video gives you an idea of the beautiful outdoor life enjoyed all year round by Florida residents.
My advice to everyone who visits the Central Florida area is to make the time to check out the natural Florida up here, no more than an hours drive from the Disney parks, and you will never be disappointed.
Be sure to take your video camera.

To visitors, Europe is a colorful world of picturesque landscapes, legendary rivers, lush vineyards and hilltop castles. As you travel through Europe with Viking River Cruises, its rich history is arrayed before your eyes—Roman ruins, magnificent monasteries, hallowed universities, rural villages and sophisticated cities, and a vibrant collage of food, music, dance, costumes and languages recalling thousands of years of human history. Traveling with Viking River Cruises gives you the opportunity to experience and learn about all these aspects of your cruise destinations.
Though Europe is the worlds second-smallest continent in terms of area—covering about 2.0% of the Earths surface—it is densely populated, housing slightly more than one-ninth of the worlds people. This close inhabitation gives Europe a similarly dense concentration of culture and industry, which our river cruises explore fully. Each river that flows through Europe has shaped both the landscape and the regions history. European river cruises are the best way to see the Continent in depth.

I’m 13 and i’m going to be going on the Serenade of the Seas in a few days and this would be the first time i’m going to the teen club. On the first day we board the ship when (like what time) am I supposed to go to the club to meet new people? I don’t want to go there late when everybody there already met new people and are comfortable which would make me the odd one out. Also, can you give me some tips on meeting new people I’m a little nervous, are there any ice breaker type of things they have to meet new friends?
I’ve been on that cruise I had a great time. I think it doesn’t matter what time you go. People will want to meet and greet no matter who’s there early or late. Enter the club with a open mind and a wonderful smile. Relax and have fun
