Do they serve budweiser products on the princess cruise lines?

Posted by admin on April 19th, 2010 and filed under princess cruise | 2 Comments »

werecently recieved our booklet for the cruise we are going to in March. We are going on the Crown Princess. In the book it listed the beers they had for stateroom menus and no budweiser porducts we’re listed. this could be a BIG problem for my family….so does anyone know?

I’m not sure either and I have been on 9 cruises with Princess, but when the beer drinker in the family wakes up, I’ll ask him and see if he knows, so I’ll get back to you. It’s pretty early here in California now. Ok, I went to cruise critic and in several places it was said that they do have bud on board. My husband also said he thinks they do too. BTW, cruise critic is a great place to get info like this and to ask questions.

Do you think that most people like Eastern or Western Caribbean cruises better?

Posted by admin on April 19th, 2010 and filed under caribbean cruises | 2 Comments »

Let me know if you’ve been on either of these cruises, if you liked it, why you chose the cruise you did, and what line you used. I’m considering the holistic vegan Taste of Health cruise.

I’ve been on two cruises to the Eastern Caribbean. The first with Carnival and the second was with Royal Caribbean. On Carnival, we went to St. Thomas, Tortola and San Juan. I truly enjoyed this cruise. The ports were beautiful and the cruise itself was fantastic. On Royal Caribbean we went to Haiti, Dominican Republic, San Juan and St. Thomas. Again, I enjoyed this one too. I have to say I can’t chose which one I thought was better because I enjoyed them equally. They were both awesome. I’m going on a Western Caribbean cruise this August on Carnival.

I hope you have a great cruise!

International Sports on Royal Caribbean Cruises?

Posted by admin on April 19th, 2010 and filed under caribbean cruises | 3 Comments »

I know it’s an odd question but I’ll be cruising out of Cape Liberty in Feb 09 to the Caribbean and would like to know whether they show international sports such as the Champions League (European Soccer tournament). Thanks!

Whenever you cruise there are generally two options for seeing sports events on TV. First is your cabin and the second is if your ship has a sports bar. There is no firm answer to your question. Some cruise ship do have ESPN available in the cabin but its a crap shoot as to what will be on. In addition, since the ship will be moving the TV signal that it can get also dictates in part what is shown. I have been on cruises when major sporting events, like the NFL’s Superbowl and even high profile regular season games, were on TV. But they were generally in a sports bar and not the cabin.

If you will be cruising on the Explorer of the Seas, that ship has a Schooner Bar on deck 4 which typically has sporting events on the TV, if the piano player is not performing. The ship also has a Sports Bar on deck 5. That is probably the best place to go to see the soccer games. But, again its iffy.

what is the age policy on royal Caribbean cruises?

Posted by admin on April 19th, 2010 and filed under royal caribbean cruises | 2 Comments »

I’m 21 traveling with a 20 year old. If i book the room under my name is it ok that the other person is under 21? I think with carnival if your under 21 you have to be in a room with someone 25 or older.

This is the answer directly from the Royal Caribbean site:

No guest under the age of twenty-one (21) will be reserved in a stateroom unless accompanied by an adult twenty-one (21) years of age, or older. This age limit will be waived for minor children sailing with their parents or guardians in adjacent staterooms or under-aged married couples (proof of marriage is required).

According to this, you CAN travel with a 20 year old as long as you are over 21. You are correct about Carnival; you would need to be over 25. The policy is different for Royal Carribean.

the truth about working on royal caribbean cruises?

Posted by admin on April 19th, 2010 and filed under royal caribbean cruises | 1 Comment »

Thinking of working on Royal Caribbean Cruses, although wages are not good I’ve heard the tips are good. Is this kind of outfit run by the phillipino mafia and indonesians below deck ?

Tips are usually paid on the passenger credit card and all tips are divided according to a contract . The work is for 12 hours a day 7 days a week for usually 11 months before a leave is allowed. Living quarters are crowded and there is no privacy.
